SuperTECH DAY 2025

Consolidated Overhear DoOR and Gate - takes time to honor Our Dedicated team of Garage Door Installers and Technicians

On Friday, June 20, 2025, the International Door Association (IDA) will recognize SuperTech Day—a national celebration honoring the garage door and gate industry’s hard-working installers and service technicians. At Consolidated Overhead Door & Gate, we’re proud to take part in this annual tradition and shine a well-deserved spotlight on the individuals who keep homes and businesses throughout Santa Barbara County safe, secure, and running smoothly.

What Is SuperTech Day?

Established by the IDA to recognize the critical contributions of garage door and gate technicians across North America, SuperTech Day honors the professionals that are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing the largest and often most complex moving systems on a property. From safety sensors to rolling steel doors, their knowledge, precision, and craftsmanship ensure everything operates as it should—day after day, year after year.

Honoring the Technicians Behind the Scenes

Whether responding to an emergency repair, executing a complex commercial installation, or conducting a routine safety check, our technicians are the face of our company—and the backbone of the industry.

At Consolidated Overhead Door & Gate, we take tremendous pride in the professionalism and dedication of our team. Many of our technicians hold certifications from the IDA and other nationally recognized training programs. More importantly, they bring integrity, care, and a problem-solving mindset to every project.

Their work is often behind the scenes, but its impact is felt everywhere—when a garage door opens effortlessly, when a business secures its storefront, or when a family feels safe knowing their system is working exactly as it should.

More Than a Job: A Trade That Demands Skill and Precision

Modern garage doors and gate systems involve more than just mechanical installation. Today’s systems include:

  • Smart openers and mobile control apps

  • Photoelectric sensors and advanced safety mechanisms

  • Backup battery systems (required by SB-969)

  • Rolling and sectional doors for commercial properties

  • Custom gates and access systems

Our technicians are trained in all of it. They work in the heat, the rain, and the early hours—so you don’t have to worry about your entry systems failing.

How You Can Celebrate SuperTech Day

Take a moment this Friday to thank your local garage door professional. Whether you’ve had a recent repair, a new installation, or you’ve been meaning to schedule a safety inspection, now’s the perfect time to show appreciation.

Want to recognize someone on our team? Leave a positive review, send us a message, or drop by the office—we’d love to hear your story.
